On 12 April 2015, I received the following email from Hostal L’Antic Espai:
Thanks for choosing us for your stay in Barcelona.
As you are coming to our hotel next 01/05 (1st of May\), so after wishing you a nice trip, we would like to ask you at what time are you going to do the check in, because we don´t have reception 24 hours.
Please be aware that if you don’t inform us about your check-in time or don’t show on time, there may not be anyone available at the reception to welcome you. It is not responsibility of the hotel if you come and don´t find anyone in the reception. In this case, the reservation will be cancelled and no refund would be possible.
In case of any changes or flight delay, please let us know beforehand.
Also notice that late “Check-in”, from 22:00 onwards, will have an additional charge of 30,00 €.
Waiting your reply..Thanks and see you soon.
One of the best things about Barcelona is the short distance between nature and the heart of the city. Within a short distance of the city, you will find such adventures as:
We think it may be useful for you to know…
-the amazing Montserrat’s Monastery that invites trekking and climbing for every mountain lover;
-hardworking vinyards producing great quality wines and cavas with visits and tastings, and:
-excape from the most popular areas and not far from the city center you will find fine beaches that will reward your visit.
-If you are an antique lover or a curious person that likes variety, we can organize excursions to ‘Los Encantes’ Flea Market,
the place where you can find the most amazing and unexpected objects at a very good rate.
-If you like shopping and want to spend an exclusive day among more than 100 boutiques of national and international luxury fashion brands with prices reduced by up 60% all year round, and also enjoy the restaurants and cafés in a unique place, then you can check La Roca Village.
To use your time wisely, there is a Bus Touristic that has 3 different routes through the city (in winter it has 2), which you can combine and go on and off freely, catching the next bus at no extra charge.
This is a very good option for getting a wide look of the city. We recommend that you begin this service on the first day of your stay.
We will provide you with a discount VOUCHER at our hostal of all these tours.
We also offer Art-ickets for cultural attractions at a special price.
For you to have a good idea of the bases of local gastronomy, we have searched and tasted many different restaurants and bars, selecting the ones we think were the more appropriate to represent Barcelona’s spirit.
Once you arrive, we can think of which ones suit you best.
Every morning we will be serving breakfast for those who have booked it the night before.
Continental Breakfast: Orange Juice, cereals, yoghurt, toast, pastries, milk, ham and cheese, fresh fruit, butter and marmalade… plus a hot drink.(Tea, Coffee or Hot Chocolate)
Simple Breakfast: Orange Juice, toasts, milk, butter, marmalade and a hot drink.(Tea, Coffee or Hot Chocolate)
We also have soft drinks, mineral water, red wine, sangria, white wine and the local sparkling white wine called Cava.
You can have any of these at any time just asking for it at the reception.
You can enjoy our pick-up service from the airport to the hotel. Just inform us of the number of your flight and you will find us waiting you..
With all these in mind, you can be sure that you will have a hand waiting for you to start your trip.
We are glad you decided to stay with us.
Please note that L’Antic Espai is no smoking space, as all puplic spaces in Spain, any fraction of this rule will be fined with 150.00 euros
What a warm welcome! Receiving this email before I left on my first trip to Barcelona brought great anticipation, indeed! And, even before arriving at L’Antic Espai, I was impressed by their attention to customer service.
And, my stay exceeded all of my expectations, both at the Hostal and in Barcelona in general!
