I have begun to equate the start of every new London day with a morning walk in Hyde Park. The man-made Serpentine Lake, situated in about the center of the park, always delights me with its cafes, boathouse, sculptures, swimmers, and boats bobbing. But nothing else has entranced me so much on the lake as this pure-white feather. It caught my eye one morning as the sunlight played upon it, creating almost iridescent sparkling whites and and liquid silvers. Most of what I love about the Serpentine will remain for me whenever I find myself in London. This lovely little gift, however, from a walk one Spring morning in 2013, is gone but not forgotten…
