Welcome to Impressions Travelogue! In this travel/photography blog You can be my virtual travel partner! Here, you’ll share my explorations and adventures (and misadventures)! I really am an ordinary sort (regular job, married, grown kids, by no means wealthy, not as young as many of the globetrotting twenty-somethings out there – double their age, actually). But, I have a burning and extraordinary desire to visit the far reaches of the globe and record what I see, hear, smell, taste, and feel…and to write about those “Impressions” right here.

Here, I’ll tell you stories, show you photos, and impart musings and information about transportation, accommodations, money, walks, photography, popular tourist attractions and places off the beaten track. I’ll include inspirational quotes, and I’ll recommend books which I think would be perfect travelling companions, especially for specific regions. My hope is that you will feel you are travelling along with me (and sometimes with my daughter, or another friend, but most often just with me). I also hope that these posts will inspire you to travel – maybe even on a big trip; maybe even solo!
