2014 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 8,700 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

With heartfelt thanks to all readers and followers of Impressions Travelogue and especially to the following who have read this blog and have encouraged and supported and inspired me:

-Jacqueline at A Vibrant Day. Her blog and lovely outlook on life never fail to bring a smile and I am honored to call her my friend. Both of us are in various stages of nursing school and someday we will have the time to be amazed that we kept up a blog at all. Read hers!
Darlene Hoffmark. She is a dear friend whom I met through our mutual work as nurses and who has remained steadfast in her encouragement of my writing, photography, and travels.
-Brian at Equinoxio. He is a wonderful writer and photographer and he just happened to be in Paris at the same time I was this Summer and suffered the same deluge and comfortingly commiserated with me through our blog comments to one another. Plus, he taught me how to say anchovies in French! (“anchoix”). Read his story about his childhood adventure with a baboon here.
-Aquileana who writes primarily about Greek Mythology at “La Audacia de Aquiles” If you have any interest at all in Greek myths, you must turn to her blog regularly! She has a great following both on WordPress and Twitter and yet found the time to provide me with regular encouragement. I am humbled by your generosity, Aquileana.
-Diana at Vino Vita Viaggi who blogs about her life as a transplanted Texan in Italy. Check out her Italian recipes and her great post on the Rome Marathon and her rules for drinking coffee in Italy! You can also find her great photos on Instagram.
-Susan who blogs at Timeless Italy. Enjoy her wonderful stories, photos, and guided tours through familiar and not-so-familiar sites in Italy. You can also find her on Twitter.
-Zee, my dear new friend and fellow blogger from Pakistan who manages a wonderfully popular blog, “Life Confusions.” She is 19(!) yet her blog has made me laugh out loud with its GIFs and wonderful sense of humor. Her regular encouragement has provided me with a great boost so many times.

Happy New Year!!!

    • Thank you, Jacqueline! You are so very welcome. I am studying for my Acute Care NP recert on 12 Jan then head into concerted work on my DNP project and hopeful graduation in May! Yet, I long to figure out how to continue blogging during all of that. There are so many stories and memories inside of me! Sigh…
My very best to you this coming year and I have every confidence in you passing the NCLEX! Let me know as I’ll be thinking about you.
      XOXO Renate

      • I hope to read updates now and again about your progress! I’m very excited for you. I hope one day (not too long from now) to follow in your footsteps! They’re wearisome steps, however! I hope you get to have bursts of enjoyment here and there.
